The exit clause of Fisnik Asllani has expired. This means that TSG Hoffenheim now decides the terms for his potential departure. As Sky reports, interested clubs could previously sign Asllani for a fixed transfer fee of 25 million euros. This option is no longer available. Particularly RB Leipzig had intensively dealt with the striker. The Saxons wanted to activate the clause and sign Asllani. The transfer, however, failed because Leipzig ultimately distanced itself from the deal due to medical concerns. For Hoffenheim, the negotiating position has improved significantly. According to Sky information, the responsible parties are now firmly convinced of the striker's stay. The club plans '100 percent' with Asllani for the upcoming season. A sale is not entirely ruled out, but the conditions have changed significantly. Only with an exceptionally high offer would the Kraichgauers be willing to discuss a departure. Hoffenheim is not under pressure to sell. Asllani's contract still runs long-term until 2029. After the exit clause has expired, TSG can freely negotiate a possible transfer fee and accordingly demand significantly more than the previous 25 million euros. That Asllani is still playing for Hoffenheim at all was not self-evident just a few days ago. RB Leipzig had taken concrete steps for a transfer and wanted to make use of the exit clause. The transfer, however, did not come to fruition. Medical concerns ensured that Leipzig did not complete the planned transfer. This simultaneously expired the opportunity to sign Asllani at the fixed price from his contract. For other interested parties, a transfer will now be significantly more difficult. Who wants to sign the striker in this summer from Hoffenheim, must first convince TSG with an extraordinary offer. For Asllani, this currently suggests a stay in the Kraichgau. After the failed Leipzig transfer and the expiration of his clause, Hoffenheim has regained control over the player. A later transfer is still possible - but not at the previous price of 25 million euros.
