Asllani in the spotlight: out or stay?
While De Cat settles in, Fisnik Asllani (23, 1.91 m) could be on his way out. Interest from Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and FC Barcelona has surfaced. Schicker confirmed talks with „Vereinen aus dem In- und Ausland“ and pointed to Asllani’s release clause: „Es ist ja auch kein Geheimnis, dass Fisnik Asllani eine Klausel hat. Deswegen müssen wir als Verein auch nicht unbedingt verständigt werden.“ The MD remains in contact with the player; a move before 31 August 2026 is possible.
Where’s the final gap?
New arrivals Cajetan Lenz (VfL Bochum), Patrick Wimmer (VfL Wolfsburg) and Mats Rots (Twente Enschede) have already bolstered the roster. One spot remains open: „Die einzige Position, die wir noch besetzen wollen, ist der linke Flügel, wo wir vor einigen Tagen den Transfer von Bazoumana (Touré) getätigt haben.
