Reports of Bayern Munich's interest in goalkeeper Oliver Baumann were unfounded. No transfer of the 36-year-old to the Munich club took place, as has now been clarified.

Baumann therefore remains a key part of TSG Hoffenheim. His contract with the Bundesliga side runs until the summer of 2027. This long-term commitment shows his role as a mainstay in a team currently sitting 14th in the table with three points from four games.

The speculation had emerged over the weekend. It came during a period where Hoffenheim are struggling with just one win from their last five matches. The team aims to end this negative run in their next home fixture.

On Saturday, October 10th, TSG host Hamburger SV. The clash against the 16th-placed side offers a chance for key points. Baumann will be in his usual position between the posts.
